The popular "magic" tote bag workshop is back again in March! All materials are pre-cut, so you can complete the entire project in just 3 hours. Ages 12 and up. All skill levels are welcome. $40 includes materials.


Back by popular demand! Accomplished Sashiko artist, Meghan, will instruct participants in the Japanese art of visible mending - using decorative stitching to repair and reinforce fabrics. Sashiko stitching involves creating geometric patterns with running stitches to add strength and visual interest to the repair. Ages 12 and up. $30 includes free embroidery thread and needle.

Learn the technique to weave your scraps (too small for other projects) into a rug. This workshop will create a smaller version which makes a great casserole trivet/hot pad! Customers just love the rag rug in our shop, so now is your chance to learn how it's done! Loom will be provided for use during class and take-home to finish if needed. $40 includes all materials.

This intro to sewing class for never-evers (or last time was many years ago!) begins on Apr. 12 and continues Sunday, Apr. 19 and Sunday, May 3. Students will learn sewing machine basics and complete a simple project. We prefer to use our classroom machines, but you can bring your own with prior approval. 90-minute classes Sundays from 12 to 1:30pm. $30 for the 3-week session.

This popular class returns continues in April! Perfect for beginner sewists who want to learn the basics of choosing fabrics, cutting pieces, and assembling a simple quilt. Best for ages 14 and up. $55 per student. Materials purchased separately - at FrugalFabrics materials should cost less than $20.

This workshop takes beginner quilters through every step of creating a small quilt. Participants will learn how to select fabrics, cut pieces, assemble and bind a simple rail fence quilt. $55 for the 2-day workshop.
